General Shipping Information

Delivery estimates – Delivery estimates are made in good faith but may be affected by external factors such as government restrictions, supplier delays, fires, strikes, pandemics, or other causes beyond our control.

Order processing time – Orders are usually processed within 2–3 business days.

Shipping time – In-stock orders typically ship within 3 business days.

Weekend and holiday schedule – Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or holidays.

Shipping confirmation – Customers will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details once an order is dispatched.

High-volume delays – During high-volume periods, shipments may be delayed by a few days. We will notify you via email or phone if there are significant delays.

Signature required – A recipient’s signature is required upon delivery of all bike shipments.

Self-pickup – Self-pickup is available at our Austin location at no additional cost.

Shipping Within the Continental U.S.

Free shipping – Orders over $99 qualify for free shipping within the lower 48 states.

Flat fee – Orders under $99 incur a flat shipping fee of $19.

Delivery timeline – Estimated delivery time is typically 3–7 business days after shipment.

Shipping to Canada

Free shipping – Orders over $99 qualify for free shipping to Canada.

Flat fee – Orders under $99 incur a flat shipping fee of $19.

DDP service – All shipments to Canada are sent DDP (Delivery Duty Paid). We handle customs clearance to ensure doorstep delivery without additional steps.

Delivery timeline – Estimated delivery time is typically 7–14 business days after shipment.

Shipping to Hawaii

Online orders – Orders can be placed online as usual.

Order limit – Hawaii orders are limited to one bike per order, with the option to add one sidecar. Customers purchasing multiple bikes must place separate orders or contact us for assistance.

Shipping rates – Shipping to Hawaii is charged at checkout based on the applicable Hawaii shipping tier for the order.

Local coordination – Some orders to Hawaii are coordinated and fulfilled by our local logistics partner, who will contact the customer after the order is placed to coordinate final delivery or pickup options, if applicable.

Additional charges – Additional shipping charges may apply for oversized accessories or special delivery requests.

Delivery timeline – Estimated delivery time is typically 7-14 business days after shipment.

Shipping to Alaska

Online orders – Orders can be placed online as usual.

Shipping quote – A competitive shipping quote will be calculated based on your address.

Approval required – Customers will be contacted for quote approval before shipment.

Refund option – If the quote is not approved, the order can be canceled for a full refund.

Delivery timeline – Estimated delivery time is typically 14–21 business days after shipment.

International Shipping (Excluding Canada)

Electric bike orders – Orders containing an electric bike are shipped internationally for a flat fee of $299 per bike. This fee includes DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) service.

Non-bike orders – For orders without an electric bike, shipping, duties, and taxes will be calculated and collected at checkout. These will also be shipped DDP.

Remote destinations – In rare cases where the shipping address is located outside our standard service zones (such as remote areas or island destinations), additional shipping costs may apply. If this occurs, our team will contact you with the revised shipping fee for your approval before the order is processed or shipped.

DDP service – All international shipments are sent DDP (Delivery Duty Paid). We handle customs clearance to ensure doorstep delivery without additional steps.

Delivery timeline – Estimated delivery time is typically 60–120 days after shipment, depending on destination and customs processing.

Returns, Repairs & Warranty – Customers are responsible for all shipping costs, taxes, and duties related to returns, repairs, or warranty services outside the continental U.S. and Canada.

Relocation costs – Customers who relocate internationally after purchasing are responsible for any related shipping fees for returns, repairs, or warranty services from their new location.

All MOD BIKES are shipped internationally in their original configuration. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that the product complies with local regulations in their country. If specific adjustments are required for compliance, please contact us prior to shipping — in some cases, we may be able to accommodate special requests.

Return policy

General Return Information

Proof of purchase – All eligible returns and exchanges require proof of purchase (order number/receipt) and must be tied to an order placed directly with MOD BIKES.

Order cancellations – Free cancellations are available any time before you receive a shipping confirmation. Once you receive a shipping confirmation, the order is considered shipped and cancellation is no longer free.

Return & exchange window – Returns and exchanges must be requested within 14 days of the delivery date (the day you receive your order). We do not accept returns or exchanges after this period.

Outbound shipping fees – Outbound shipping fees paid at checkout (if any) are non-refundable.

Return Shipping Costs & Labels

Return shipping responsibility – If an order is returned, exchanged, or refused after it has shipped, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Return shipping cost – Return shipping costs are 10% of the total order value, with a minimum of $19.

Return label & pickup – We will provide a return label and schedule a pickup (E-bikes only) . Return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund once the returned items are received and inspected.

Return label validity – Return labels are valid for 7 days. If the item is not shipped within that timeframe, the return will be canceled and may no longer be eligible for return.

Outside Continental U.S. – Orders shipped outside of the continental U.S. may incur higher return shipping costs than the 10% estimate.

Brokerage, taxes, and duties – MOD BIKES is not responsible for any brokerage fees, taxes, or duties related to returns, repairs, or warranty services.

Condition & Packaging Requirements

Secure packaging – Customers are responsible for securely packing all items being returned.

E-bike packaging – Electric bikes must be returned in the original box and original packing materials, packed securely to prevent damage during transit.

Like-new condition – All returned items must be in like-new condition, with no damage, and include all original parts and included accessories.

Mileage limit – Electric bikes must have less than 20 miles at the time of return.

Deductions & restocking fee – If a return shows damage from heavy use, high mileage, improper packaging, or missing items, we may deduct repair costs and/or a 25% restocking fee from the refund.

Refused returns – We reserve the right to refuse a return if the product has significant damage.

Final Sale Items

Not eligible for return/exchange – The following are final sale and not eligible for returns or exchanges:

•Helmets

•Child seats

•Refurbished / certified used items

•Clearance / open box items

•International orders (excluding Canada)

•Any other items marked final sale

Shipping Damage Claims

Reporting window – Any damage claims must be reported to support@mod-bikes.com within 48 hours of delivery.

Required documentation – Please include photos/video of the packaging and the product so we can assist.

Inspection & Refund Timing

Inspection Processing timeline – Please allow up to 14 days from delivery of the returned item for inspection and processing.

Refund timeline – If approved, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Shipping costs, repair costs, restocking fees, and any other applicable deductions will be deducted from the refund amount. Refunds may take up to 14 days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.

EU return policy additional details

The following terms apply exclusively to consumers located within the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), in compliance with EU Directive 2023/2673. If you are purchasing on behalf of a registered business entity (B2B), these withdrawal rights do not apply.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period) If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period will expire 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

To exercise this right, you may use the "Withdraw from Order" button located in your customer account or order confirmation page.

2. Return Shipping Costs (Customer Responsibility)

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, you will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. Due to the weight and size of our electric bikes, international return freight can be substantial. You are responsible for safely packaging the bike in its original materials and paying the actual freight costs to return the item to our US-based facility.

3. Diminished Value & Usage

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

What is permitted: Inspecting the bike, adjusting the seat, and checking the build quality (similar to what you would do in a physical retail store).

What is not permitted: Using the e-bike for commuting, riding it outdoors, or adding mileage to the motor. If the bike is returned with wear and tear, dirt, or mileage, MOD BIKES reserves the right to deduct the diminished value of the product (including repair costs and depreciation) directly from your refund amount.

4. Exemptions from the Right of Withdrawal The right of withdrawal does not apply to the following:

Custom-Made Products: Any e-bike or accessory that has been custom-built, modified, or personalized to your specific requests prior to shipping.

Sealed Goods: Items such as helmets or child seats where the safety/hygiene seal has been broken or removed after delivery.

5. Refund Processing

We will reimburse you for all payments received, excluding the outbound delivery costs. We will withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back and inspected them for diminished value.
