Processing

Most orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Custom and made-to-order pieces may require additional time, noted on the product and checkout pages.

Costs and delivery

Shipping is calculated at checkout by destination and order contents; we subsidize a portion of shipping costs to keep them fair. When your order ships, tracking is emailed to you. Delays caused by carriers, weather, or customs are outside our control.

Delivery details

The shipping address entered at checkout must be complete, accurate, and accessible. Gate codes, delivery instructions, and access constraints should be provided at checkout; missing details can cause failed delivery attempts.

Return to sender

If a shipment returns to us because the address was incorrect or incomplete, the location was inaccessible or delivery instructions were missing, or the package was not retrieved from a pickup location, the related costs are the customer's: the carrier's return-to-sender fee and the cost of reshipment.

When the piece arrives back, we contact you with reshipment options. If you choose not to reship, we refund the order minus all shipping-related fees, charged at the carrier's actual rate for that package rather than the checkout rate.

Damaged or lost shipments

If a piece arrives damaged or a package is lost in transit, write to info@interiormoderna.com within 72 hours of the delivery date (or estimated delivery date) with your order number, photographs of the piece and packaging, and a description of the issue.

We initiate the claim with UPS on your behalf, or you may file it yourself; all claims follow the official carrier process, and resolution times vary with the carrier's investigation. Keep the original packaging and contents while a claim is open, as the carrier may request inspection.

Freight delivery: custom oversized pieces

Certain custom-made or oversized pieces ship by freight due to size and weight. Freight deliveries are curbside only, by scheduled appointment, with an adult signature required.

The carrier contacts you to schedule once the piece is ready. Curbside means the nearest accessible point at the front of your property or building; the piece is not brought inside. An adult (18+) must be present to sign during the scheduled window.

If a delivery attempt fails for customer-related reasons (no one present during the window, refusal of the shipment, an inaccessible or incorrect address or missing gate codes, a missed appointment or failure to reschedule in time), the customer is responsible for any redelivery or storage fees charged by the freight carrier and all costs of arranging a new shipment; we are not liable for these additional charges. Confirm availability and address details before the piece ships.

Standard-sized lamps, mirrors, and wall art may be returned: you have 15 days after delivery to request a return. Pieces designated as oversized at checkout are excluded, such as our Irregular Ettore Sottsass Mirror, Ettore Sottsass Mirror, and Humanoid Standing Lamp.

A returned piece must be unused, in the same condition you received it, with any tags or wrapping intact, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase is required.

To begin a return, write to info@interiormoderna.com . If the return is accepted, we send a return shipping label with instructions on how and where to send the piece; the original and return shipping costs are deducted from the refund. You may also arrange your own return shipping. Pieces sent back without an accepted return request will not always be accepted.

Damage and issues

Inspect your order on arrival. If a piece arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, write to us within 24 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and the original packaging, and we will make it right.

Where damage is our reasonable fault, we replace the piece at no charge. If you prefer a refund instead of a replacement, return shipping is at your cost.

Final sale

Sale items and gift cards are not returnable. Custom-made pieces are final sale, as is every piece in our sofas, chairs, and tables collections.

Exchanges

Return the original piece; once the return is accepted, place a separate order for the piece you want.

European Union: 14-day cooling-off period

Orders shipped into the European Union may be cancelled or returned within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The piece must be unused, in the same condition you received it, with tags, and in its original packaging; a receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the return, we confirm whether the refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days; banks and card companies may take additional time to post.
