•Free UK mainland delivery on orders over £75.

•Free delivery to UK Highlands & Islands on orders over £150.

•Free local delivery on orders over £75 within selected York city postcodes.

•All other delivery costs are based on parcel weight and service speed (typically £2.99–£8.25, or £7.99–£9.99 for Age-Verified services).

•We do not profit from delivery charges and generally subsidise the cost.

•For international orders, import duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

•If actual carriage costs are significantly higher than calculated, we may contact you for a contribution or cancel the order.

Carriers & Delivery Times

Fastest options:

•Royal Mail 24 or DHL/DPD (delivery aim: next day, approx. 97% delivered in this time, not guaranteed)

•Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day (guaranteed next day or postage cost is refunded)

Most popular option:

•Royal Mail 48 (delivery aim: 2–3 days, approx. 97% delivered in this time, not guaranteed).

•Postage is not refunded if delivery aims are missed (except Special Delivery)

Order Processing

•We aim to dispatch same day for orders placed before 1pm (Royal Mail services) or 11am (DPD/DHL), Monday to Friday.

•As a small team, occasional delays may occur.

•Please contact us if you need an order urgently.

Collections & delivery days

•Order processing cut-off times are based on courier collection times, not delivery days.

DPD, DHL and Royal Mail collections take place Monday–Friday only. Orders placed after the relevant cut-off time will be processed on the next working day.

Royal Mail delivers Monday–Saturday.

DPD and DHL officially deliver Monday–Friday. While they may occasionally deliver on Saturdays or Sundays, these deliveries are not guaranteed and do not count towards the courier’s next-day delivery aim.

•“Next day” delivery refers to the courier’s delivery aim following collection and is not a guaranteed service, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Unclaimed or Refused Deliveries

If a parcel is returned to us because it was unclaimed or because import duties, taxes or customs charges were not paid, the original delivery charge will not be refunded. Any additional costs incurred in returning the parcel to us may also be deducted from the refund.

Packing & Sustainability

•No packing charges - we reuse packaging from incoming deliveries.

•We never buy or use new plastic packaging.

•Any bubble wrap included is reused.

•Packing peanuts are reclaimed and are biodegradable corn starch.

•We use cardboard boxes, paper tape, and recycled-paper Jiffy bags.

Out of Stock Items

•If a product is unavailable, we will contact you with options for a refund, substitution, or delayed delivery.

Returns and Refund Policy (UK Only)

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery.

You must contact us within 15 days of delivery to begin the return process, and returned items must reach us within 30 days of delivery.

Items must be unused, in their original condition, and in the original packaging.

To start a return, please use your customer account ( account.heima.uk ) or email shop@heima.uk . Do not send items back until you have received instructions from us.

Return postage is charged at a fixed cost of £6.95. This amount will be deducted from your refund. We will provide a return label once your return has been approved.

If an item is faulty or damaged, we will cover the cost of return postage.

Returns can also be made in-store at:HEIMA, 34 Gillygate, York, YO31 7EQ.

Refunds are processed within 3 days of receiving your returned item. Original delivery charges are non-refundable, except where required by law.

Christmas Returns

We do not offer extended Christmas refund periods. However, items purchased for Christmas will be accepted for store credit if:

•You notify us of your intention to return the item by 7th January, and

•The item is returned to us by 21st January.

Damages

Damages must be reported within 48 hours of receiving your item.

We may request photographs of the damaged item and packaging; do not dispose of anything until we confirm it is safe to do so.

Please keep the original packaging so the item can be returned safely if needed.

Exchanges

Exchanges are only offered for defective or damaged items. Please email shop@heima.uk to arrange.

Business Customers

Orders placed by businesses, trade customers, interior designers, property developers, hospitality businesses and other commercial organisations are not covered by consumer cancellation rights.

Returns of non-faulty goods are accepted only at HEIMA's discretion and may be subject to return carriage charges and/or a restocking fee.

Any approved returns must be unused, in their original packaging and in resaleable condition.
