Our Shipping Process for Bulbs and Bareroot Plants

We ship directly from Holland to the United States! All of our plant items are carefully packaged and shipped to arrive at the proper planting time (depending on climatic conditions) for your area of the country. If some of your items have not yet shipped, it may be waiting for the proper shipping time. You will receive shipping notification emails when your order ships from Holland and when it clears customs in the United States. Please allow time for your shipment to make it across the Atlantic. After leaving Holland, your package can take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive at your door.

We ship plant items to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship plant items to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, or APO/FPO addresses.

We are committed to sending you the best plants and bulbs available. Many of our bulbs and plants are harvested in Holland and shipped to the United States. All of our plants and bulbs are inspected before they’re packaged to provide our customers the best quality product.

Unlike big box stores, our bulbs and plants are stored in coolers. This helps maintain their vitality and ensures they remain in good dormant condition for successful growth. Here are a few reasons why this is important:

Preservation of Moisture: Many plants and bulbs need a certain level of moisture to remain viable. When they dry out, they can become dormant or even die. Cool storage helps prevent this moisture loss. This is why some bulbs from big box stores may not bloom. They are dried out.

Prevention of Premature Growth: If bulbs or plants are exposed to warmth or dry conditions, they may start to sprout or grow prematurely. This can weaken them and affect their ability to establish themselves properly once planted.

Extended Storage Life: Coolers can provide a stable environment that extends the storage life of bulbs and plants. This is particularly important if you need to store them for an extended period before planting.

Disease and Pest Control: Cooler conditions can help reduce the risk of diseases and pests that might otherwise thrive in warmer or drier conditions.

Plant Items If, for any reason, you're not completely satisfied with any bulb, bareroot or starter plant upon receipt, after planting or once it grows and blooms, just contact Breck's® anytime—no time limit—for as long as you garden. No need to return any plant. We'll happily replace it or send you a merchandise credit.

General Merchandise/Hardgoods

If you are not delighted with your garden décor purchase, simply return it within 60 days for a merchandise credit or exchange.
